I’m a journalist based in Encinitas, California. I have immersed myself in a wide range of subjects, from nuclear security to environmental justice.

I currently cover disaster recovery and philanthropy for the Associated Press.

Previously, I was a climate solutions reporter at Grist. I also served as the content director of two digital news websites, TransWorld Business and GrindTV, and co-led the rebranding of those two publications into a multi-platform outdoor content hub called Adventure Sports Network (since consolidated into Men’s Journal). I was also part of a three-person team that launched The Huffington Post’s Honolulu desk, and have freelanced for several national publications.

I have a B.A. in History from Princeton University and a master’s degree with honors from Columbia Journalism School.
